Description
A wooden tealight holder made from Sapele wood with three clear glass inserts tealights or battery lights.
The tealight holder measures 24.5 x 9 x 6.5 cm and has been finished with clear oil and wood wax to enhance the natural colouring and grains. Each glass insert holds a standard sized tealight.
Sapele is a West African hard wood similar to Mahogany with beautiful bronze tones and interesting grain patterns. The wood used for this piece has been repurposed from furniture making industry. The block is made from several laminated pieces adding to the unique beauty.
To keep the piece looking its best for longer please remember to:
- clean with a soft cloth, removing glass inserts and avoid wet polishes or saturating the wood.
- use a clear wood wax to maintain the colouring and provide protection. Buffing after waxing will restore lustre and give a soft sheen.
- allow waxes / polishes to dry thoroughly before lighting candles.
- always use the tealight with the glass inserts in place. This is not only for aesthetics but also fire safety and the protection of the wood.
- never leave a candle burning unattended.
- always place candles on a level suitable surface away form pets, children, flammable materials and draughts.
- should a glass insert become broken or lost please replace with a suitable replacement.
