Hi, I’m Carrie, the “CG” in CG Wood Crafts. I make wooden gifts and decor using a range of wood working techniques.

I have an eco-conscious, sustainable approach to making where I aim to make sure that every usable piece, spare bit, off cut, chunk, block, slab, branch and log is put to good use and turned into something beautiful.  Nothing goes to waste.  Most of the woods I use are sourced locally from farms, family and small businesses and sustainable wood mills.

I love meeting you all face to face at markets and event across Staffordshire and Derbyshire.  I get to tell you the stories behind each piece and really get a feel for how I help you find or create that perfect gift.  Now you can also find me in The Bookery at Amerton Artisans, Amerton Farm, Stafford and The Nook in the Arc Space, Hockley Nottingham.  

We have had the absolute pleasure of creating beautiful and unique pieces for birthdays, weddings, celebrations and for memorials.

From bookmarks, keyrings and wood turned pen sets to bespoke bases from Moorcroft vases, ring boxes and personalised Christmas decorations.
