A wooden “cotton reel” pin cushion, measuring 9cm x 6cm. Made from Oak with green and pink cotton fabric cushion. Turned on a lathe in my Staffordshire workshop this piece would make a great gift or a perfect treat for yourself.
Here at CG Woodcrafts we have a “more makes less waste” ethos. Every usable piece, offcut, left over on not quite perfect bit is put to good use. Turning it into something beautiful. In keeping with a sewing theme we have designed these wooden pin cushions to resemble a cotton reel. Made using Oak and cotton fabric remnants going spare from other projects, natural twine thread finishes off the look nicely.
Each wooden cotton reel pin cushion not only looks great but will keep your pins and needles close to hand and ready to use. Photographed in natural light. I’ve tried to best capture all the beauty and character. Sizes vary ever so slightly between each wooden pin cushion.

We attend artisan markets and craft fairs across Staffordshire and Derbyshire where you can shop with us face to face and chat about our processes and each piece. If you can’t make it out to see us you can pop the kettle on and shop from the comfort of your own home.
This also means that as most of our pieces are one of a kind and beautifully unique once they are gone, they are gone!
