Description

Sapele Keyrings

Wooden keyrings made from Sapele, which is a West African hardwood similar to Mahogany, and fitted with a chromed bead style ring.  Each Sapele keyring is cut and shaped before a final hand sanding and oil finish.  I use spare and “just in case” pieces left from larger projects.  Nothing goes to waste and these Sapele keyrings fit in perfectly with our eco-conscious ethos.  Measuring approximately 4.5 x 3 cm they are an ideal size for keys, bag charms, or simply something to hold in your hand when you need a little help grounding your self.   Your Sapele keyring will come to you tucked into a small jute style pouch.

The oil and wax finish has added a deeper tone to the natural Sapele colourings.  The grain pattern, size and colourings will vary between the keyrings.  To keep the Sapele keyring looking its best for longer please:

  • Avoid submerging or leaving out in the rain
  • Restore the lustre by applying wood wax as needed.
  • Not suitable for very young children (keep away from babies, the oils and wax are not chewable or lick-able and will not taste very nice)
  • Every ding, dent and scratch in the wood adds to the character and tells the tales of you adventures.

Please note: when buying online its really hard to capture the character of each of the keyrings.  While alike they are as random and quirky as I am…. I will pick one for you and send it on its way.  If you can join us at a market you can have a good look through and choose the one that calls out to you.

We are an at market and online business.  We attend artisan markets and craft fairs across Staffordshire and Derbyshire where you can shop with us face to face and chat about our processes and each piece.  If you can’t make it out to see us you can pop the kettle on and shop from the comfort of your own home.

We make with materials we have, as and when we get them.  This means that as most of our pieces are one of a kind and beautifully unique once they are gone, they are gone!
